Last year the junior team built a brand new car. We had finished the car a couple of hours after ariving in Brainerd. We had very high expectations for the year. The previous year our car got ran over by an ambulance. After settling with the insurance company we came back with a good chunk of change.
The first day of the race, it rained in the afternoon and we weren't able to make any runs. The night turned out to be very nice and were able to get a couple of runs in. At the end of the second day, we averaged 760 miles per gallon with a best run of 799 miles to the gallon. We also got the best paint and body, most improved, and the best miles per gallon in the modified class.
